Trial and Error (sometimes)

Its interesting the comparison between getting a Nobel prize in science and getting a Nobel in the memory of Alfie in Economics.

One has to put a lot of hard work in, test your ideas, and if they work wait 40 years to see if those very ideas have been proved to be a significant leap in scientific understanding.

The other is just a political football, with assorted flag waving, dominated by those in the academy with the biggest budgets and most followers, a bit like football.

"The Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel is awarded by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences according to the same principles as for the Nobel Prizes that have been awarded since 1901"

Nope, not even a D-

No wonder the world is in deep economic tragedy.
